New-onset Afib is the most common complication after cardiac surgery, and the BoxX-NoAF clincial trial is exploring a proactive approach.

This innovative trial will set out to evaluate if cardiac ablation and left atrial appendage exclusion (LAAE) during cardiac surgery is effective in the prevention of new-onset Afib in cardiac surgery patients with risk factors, but no history of Afib.
