Can we prevent Afib before it begins?​

For non-Afib patients undergoing cardiac surgery, there are currently no FDA-approved options to reduce the risk of post-operative or long-term Afib.

The BoxX-NoAF trial aims to change that – evaluating whether cardiac ablation and left atrial appendage exclusion during planned cardiac surgery can reduce new-onset Afib in patients with risk factors, but no history of Afib.
