Nearly half of CABG patients with Afib leave the OR without treatment.

Yet the data is clear. Epicardial ablation is associated with superior long-term survival, and both LAAO and epicardial ablation are associated with significantly lower stroke risk compared to no treatment at all.

The Class I STS guideline recommends treatment, and the evidence supports it.
